I've been using Sleep Aid for last couple of days and this finally helped me fix this issue: turning off wifi and bt automatically on macbook lid close. It's not ideal, but I finally don't have to worry about leaving my macbook in a backpack.
I guess Apple is ignoring this problem as always? I wanted to contact support couple of times, but I'm sure they would tell me to restart PRAM and SMC. Even though I have Apple silicone and based on their official docs, you don't need to restart it. That's the level of Apple support...
oh wow, surprised to see that so many people have this issue.. thanks so much for posting this, Sleep aid is super helpful! So far I tried to debug logs with Claude, no luck though..
Any advice how to make it sustainable as soon to become father? I’m experimenting with one business idea atm. I want to bootstrap it. I have solid runway. I don’t want to return to job that is killing my soul. I wanted to give my self a couple of months of building my ideas. Then the news came, we’ll be parents :)
Anyone else having issues with the videos playback? They don’t play at all on iPhone. Interaction design part is the most interesting for me, I’m curious to see what the team has come up with.
Curious as well. I’m planning to build a desktop app, haven’t use swift for a long time and I’m pretty new to rust. Tauri looks very promising. I really don’t like electron apps. They’re so slow to start even on lightning fast machines. Thanks for any insights!
After our Electron experience, I wish I had moved out of my comfort zone (JS) sooner. Electron just requires a lot of optimization and you have to be really tight with your imports to avoid loading things you don't immediately need.
The smaller bundle size with Tauri and blazing speed are well worth the effort.
Question I ask my self a lot, how much my government spends a month for Microsoft stuff. This money could go to education and health care, which both are in terrible shape. Friend who works for government tell me that it’s almost impossible to find out this number. That’s how “transparent” it is.
I never understood why there’s such a huge disconnect between private albums and shared ones. My biggest gripe with shared ones is that they don’t provide full quality/res pics. I was going to ask why if a full quality backup is already in the cloud, but now I realize it might be because of the security architecture? Still, this should at least be an option, even if it means storing the data twice, especially since we’re paying for that storage anyway.
