I hadn't heard of that before, but I just looked it up and... Sorta.
Roko's basilosk, it seems, knows we exist. This is like an infection which spreads by sneezing, but which doesn't actually understand what a sneeze is. It has found a way to balance its behavior such that its propagation continues, but it's not necessarily intelligence.
Every grocery store self checkout has cameras on the whole area as you walk up, then cameras on your face, and then pretty good self identification via your payment card/rewards.
Hypothetically speaking couldn't you collect it from any security camera in an area where you have positive ID on people? Airport security comes to mind.
With all the trade in personal data in the US I assume it's only a matter of time before places like grocery stores start selling it.
Why stop at just gait though? Geometric fingerprinting of various body parts is also possible. Palm geometry readers have been commonplace for a long time.
That's just one that comes to mind. Anywhere that has positive ID would work. Which if we account for data brokers can potentially include anywhere you use a credit card. (Yes that will not be a perfect 1 to 1. Obviously that doesn't really matter in practice. LE is used to dealing with lots of noise.)
But suppose there's no hit. That's a hit in and of itself. Someone just needs to have the idea to have the software that ICE agents use flag anyone who fails all recognition methods (facial, gate, etc) because it means they haven't been through an airport, haven't crossed a border in a legal manner, don't have a passport, and don't show up with any of the data brokers.
It’s natural for these type of communities. It’s not really a cult in the traditional sense, there is enough evidence that some medication/chemicals are gatekeeped they are effective while there’s just enough evidence to prove how dangerous it can be.
It can be understood as hobby group that focuses on drugs instead of another topic. It’s a fine line between reckless and leading edge that most don’t follow imo but it’s a community with its own rules.
I'm happy I got into the LED from the refurbished sale, the price point made it attractive. I was not much into gaming but I've been having a blast, the lowest price point also was ok for me since I am 100% comfortable with DIY on the SSD.
It is very much apparant I'm not Steam's ideal customer, but I'm happy I got it for about $249'ish? I hemmed and hawed alot thinking why am I buying a hand held pc for gaming but the switch 2 was sold out/to much work to reserve so I went for it and am really happy I did.
This 1000%! Two of the most important relationships I've made (my wife, and a boss who hired me, and later became one of my dearest friends) arose when I decided to act completely differently in the moment than I habitually would. In my wife's case, this meant immediately introducing myself to a woman I found attractive, in the other when I faced a financial crunch and resolved to apply for better-paying work even if I wasn't totally qualified instead of losing hope and going on a bender.
I’d like to think I do make an effort in a way, I try to go to the events that are being held at school, I’ve joined a few clubs and I talk to some of the people there. But it doesn’t go anywhere from there. But I will admit I’m socially anxious and keep to myself, but when I see an opportunity to crack a joke I do. But still it leads no where, I’m just that funny quirky kid who made a joke at the holiday festival. I’m still an irrelevant person nobody cares about, and even if I get a few numbers, I end up having ti hold the entire “friendship” on my back until I’m tired and then it ends.
You need to push it, you can not stop, you need to make it a simple repeat loop otherwise there is no escape. Once you establish friends, act out of your comfort zone, it can become stable and your new daily routine. It's literally exposure therapy, the exposure here is to be secure in yourself and go out.
Everyone has this issue, some people have it worse. I would give anything to be normal in this regard, I've succeeded but I have a stutter which is horrible-- so imagine being able to just talk normally and go out in the world!
That last line, thats just negtative self talk. Stop that.
They use a service of Sabre but not Sabre GDS. it’s called Radixx.
Yes in other GDS, it can be enough to identify a full booking. That’s why airlines prefer ticket or coupon number since the first two digits are the airline ticket stock / identifier and then fare codes, etc
The requiring last name, and more info is more or less security since any pss system can query the airline first for that combination before requiring more info to return a match.
6 alphanumeric, case insensitive characters only allow for about 2 billion unique combinations. I’d have guessed there were more reservations made than that?
