I mean, you could just watch it and form your own opinion instead of letting the ministry of truth do it for you. I watch documentaries that are obviously biased and that I disagree with to challenge myself and to give me an opportunity to evaluate their claims. This is the open minded approach.
I'm sorry but that's a damn foolish approach. Do not deliberately expose yourself to known propaganda! You are NOT too smart to be manipulated. Nobody is! The people who make this stuff are well aware of how "open minded" you are. The only safe thing to do is to boycott information from sources known to be operating in bad faith. Fact checking is not enough, even - it is possible to lie with facts.
If we did what you suggest, the only right thing to do would be to not believe any information source, including our own eyes and ears.

You do realize how it sounds when you say things like this, right? You're not going to convince anyone to your way of thinking by describing the way you respond to challenging ideas as "boycott the bad information."
The sheer volume of bullshit flying out of the world of conspiracy theorists makes this untenable. And I did try! You need to increase your hit rate above 0 before anyone other than a professional fact checker will invest the time. For the rest of us, these summaries are helpful.
I seriously doubt you have the resources available to effectively evaluate all the claims for yourself.
No one is an expert in all topics. We are literally not qualified to evaluate all claims.
E.g. Joe Schmoe is not qualified to personally evaluate the the safety/effectiveness of seatbelts/vaccines/pesticides. At some point they will need to trust someone else's evaluation.
People pushing an agenda can also choose to include all the indisputable facts that support their agenda and omit the ones that don't. Evaluating claims without the full picture doesn't give you the truth.

I think it's understandable for an officer to freeze up the first time they're in an active shooter situation, you don't know how you'll react until you're there. But for the entire department to fail so uniformly suggests the entire thing needs to be gutted. This harassment is just further evidence of the same.
American cops, for all their pride in their warrior mentality, are nothing but cowards fattening themselves at public expense. Their courage deserts them in the face of armed opposition.
