The new slogan: [Any City, USA] runs on Dunkin ['s passable coffee and thawed-just-for-you sandwiches and sweet treats from the refir truck that was here a week or three ago [like the grocery store, but different]].

I love me a medium regulah as much as the next guy, but I don't get how they can possibly have national appeal - the coffee is familiar, not fantastic.

Also it really sucks that they've eliminated French crullers from all but the rarest of stores. Sure you can seek them out, but that kind of defeats the whole point of having a chain you can pop into no matter where you might be.

Their competition is Starbucks, which has objectively terrible coffee, requiring extra caffeine and lots of sugar to make palatable.

Familiar is wonderful, especially when the alternative to a grilled cheese sandwich is a burned grilled cheese dipped in syrup.

At least at my grocery store the workers don't tend to look completely miserable.
